Reflexive Development: Reframing Health Care Ethics in a Globalized World
As a direct result of the Brocher Institute Fellowship, I shall complete the writing of two professional articles related to the model of “Reflexive Development.” The first will be a theoretical article that outlines the concept of “Reflexive Development” and puts it in context of other theories of development. The second will be an article focusing on the practical application of “Reflexive Development”, especially in regards to the education and practice of health care professionals.
While in Geneva, I shall:
• Give a joint “grand rounds” presentation at the University of Geneva (the Department of Community Health and Primary Care and the Institute for Global Health);
• Spark active dissemination of the “Reflexive Development” model; and,
• Explore options for using social media to communicate my results.Within one year of my Brocher Institute Fellowship, I shall:
• Give presentations on “Reflexive Development” at two international conferences;
• Circulate the articles to the target audience through professional channels; and,
• Distribute the articles through social media outlets.
