Dengue vaccine introduction: interface of scientific, political and economic challenges
Annelies Wilder-Smith is Tenured Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine with a special interest in dengue and Zika infections. Her research interest is to explore the differences between these two closely related viruses and the impact of the current epidemic and potential solutions. With a recently licensed novel live dengue vaccine that will be introduced into many Zika affected countries, we need to address a new conundrum.
