Disability, Genetic Screening, & Selective Abortion
Christopher A. Riddle received his doctorate degree from Queen's University at Kingston. He was also an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Concordia University, Montreal. At present, he is an Assistant Professor and Chair of Philosophy at Utica College, NY, where he is also the Director of the Applied Ethics Institute. Christopher's research falls into two areas: political philosophy and applied ethics. In both areas, his focus is on the experience of disability and how this informs our notions of justice and what is permissible in society. His current manuscript focuses on disability and death. In it, he examines the moral permissibility of assisted dying and selective abortion, both from the perspective of disability rights activists.
