'Growing Right'. WHO Child Growth Standards in Colombia
Natalia Niño is a medical anthropologist currently doing a PhD in science and technology studies at the University of Edinburgh. Before beginning her PhD Natalia was a researcher at the Colombian National Institute of Health. Natalia’s research is focused in the relationship between standardisation, measurement and classification in the context of nutrition research. Her PhD is focused on the use of the WHO child growth charts to measure malnutrition in Colombia. Natalia’s work explores values around the notion of early childhood, optimal growth and human standardisation.
