Addressing the global challenges of inequitable, unsustainable and unequal access to orphan drugs for rare diseases
Insights to foster access to orphan drugs internationally on concepts, mentioned in previous studies, such as the European Reference Networks, a Collaborative Global Network for Rare Diseases, cross-country healthcare, a European fund for advanced therapies and EU price-setting will be submitted as a peer-reviewed publication in an international, scientific journal. The information gained from interactions with various stakeholders during the stay will serve to harmonize the PhD objectives by highlighting those recommendations, relevant for an international public, that could lead to a concrete and global societal impact for people living with a rare disease.
