Pushing the boundaries of advance healthcare directives under conditions of compromised decision-making capacity
My project during the Brocher Residency aims to achieve the following objectives:
- continuing my argument and writing a chapter on my book (=PhD thesis) "Advance directives under conditions of limited decision-making capacity"
- linking my preliminary work in one or two journal article(s) on the ethical implications of algorithm-based support in the drafting of advance directives (cf. discussion on so-called "patient preferences predictors")
- international networking with colleagues and academic discussion of the issues addressed
- exchange about further technical/medical ethical topics of the other participants during the stay and, if possible, deliberation about cooperation in future research projects.
