BRIDGING THE INSIDER-OUTSIDER GAP IN HEALTH ASSESSMENT
The overarching aim is to find better ways to (systematically) capture patients’ expertise regarding their illness experience and to enable its application in health assessments and in the reviewing of manuscripts and research proposals.
3 objectives:
1. To better understand the insider-outsider gap in health.
2. To find ways to bring across to outsiders what the illness experience entails.
3. To draft best practice approaches to the involvement of patients and their unique expertise regarding their illness experience to the benefit of optimal allocation of resources to worthwhile research.
