The Impact of Xenotransplantation on Altruistic Organ Donation Rates
Peta Cook is a Senior Lecturer of Sociology at the University of Tasmania. She is a sociologist of knowledge, focusing on ageing as it relates to medical science, health and illness, embodiment and identity. Peta’s current work primarily focuses on age-friendly communities, ageism, and the needs of ageing populations. For her work, Peta has received the 2018 University of Tasmania Vice Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Community Engagement and in 2020, the Australian Sociological Association (TASA) Sociology in Action Award. Peta is a member of the Australian Sociological Association (TASA), Council on the Ageing, Tasmania (COTA), and Australian Association of Gerontology (AAG).
