Prec(ar)ious Live(r)s: An Anthropological Engagement with Failing Livers and the Promises of Transplant Medicine

The general objective of the proposed project is to prepare the publication of my PhD thesis on liver transplant medicine in Germany as a monograph in a series on medical anthropology, to finalise the book manuscript and submit a book proposal to a renowned university press. Besides these general objectives, additional objectives of my proposed residency at the Brocher Foundation are broadening my academic network and contributing to valuable scientific exchange across disciplines.
