Development and feasibility of a comprehensive school based intervention for promoting healthy behaviours among Indian adolescents.

1  To assess the preparedness for adoption and implementation of National School Health Programme guidelines in unaided public schools of India.
2. To develop a national template for the implementation of a comprehensive intervention for promoting healthy behaviours among school going adolescents.
3. To undertake a feasibility trial to assess the delivery and evaluation of a comprehensive school based intervention for promoting healthy behaviour among Indian adolescents.
4. To develop policy recommendations on 'Promoting Health through Schools' for strengthening the School Health Programme of India.
