I am a clinical psychologist and professor of psychology at Washington State University (WSU) in Vancouver, Washington USA. Topical interests include depression; the science of science, e.g., peer review; and chronic illnesses that affect women disproportionately. Previous research has been funded by the NIH and NSF. Thanks to previous work at Fondation Brocher, my colleague Robert M. Kaplan (Stanford University) and I have a book in press, Rethinking Clinical Research: Methodology and Ethics (Cambridge University Press). Currently, my WSU colleague Jessica L. Fales and I are editing a section on Pain, Inflammation, and Fatigue for Women & Health, 3rd Edition (Elsevier).
