France

Research director at the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and director of the “Centre de Recherche Médecine, Sciences, Santé, Santé Mentale, Société” (Cermes3 ; CNRS, EHESS, Inserm, Univ. Paris). Trained in population genetics, statistics and epidemiology, I've worked for ten years in genetic epidemiology, developing statistical methods for the genetic characterization of complex diseases. I then joined the Cermes3 and started a series of collective and multidisciplinary social science studies on high-throughput genomics in the context of care. I am interested in the transformations in research, innovation, and patient care driven by molecular and digital technologies. I am currently leading an interdisciplinary research project on genomic innovations, studied in both experimental and routine clinical settings in oncology, cardiovascular diseases, and rare diseases. I am particularly interested in the digitalization and artificial intelligence practices associated with these molecular technologies, their impacts on expertise, work and patients’ experiences and care pathways.
I have been a member of the Inserm Ethics Committee since 2013.
