This workshop will examine the current global conversation about the ethical, legal, and social implications of recent developments surrounding human gene editing for reproduction, focusing on their potential impacts on human rights and international policy. It aims to collaboratively formulate a model for effective societal engagement with and governance of this technological prospect, and to identify key mechanisms and models for fostering broadly inclusive and in-depth public deliberations about it.
